Scavenger hunt/Studio portrait

This image is supposed to be a round shape. It was metallic, and so I figured it would give a good reflective feel as well as interesting lighting. It is made to be centered so as to draw the viewers attention to the center while still allowing it to explore around the general area. There wasn't much inspiration for taking this photo, I simply passed the object in the hallway at school and decided it would fill the criteria of the object I was looking for.

In this picture there are two friends of mine posing as if looking in awe at a bundle of Christmas lights in their hands. The position was designed to give it an almost mystical look, like they were wishing on stars in their hands. I was inspired to create this shot when my friend on the left was helping the friend on the right position the lights on her for another shot. The lights had been in their hands in a similar fashion to this photo and it sparked the idea in my head, creating this beautiful image.

Compared to using a 35 mm camera, I rather enjoyed using a digital. It was a lot more convenient than the 35 mm since I could observe my pictures before printing them. I also do not need to worry about properly developing them, which makes the job a lot easier.
